Club Treasurer
The treasurer is responsible for the financial management of the club including reporting on what has happened to the club’s funds and devising the most effective methods of using all available funds.
Main responsibilities:
Accurately recording all money received and working with the Club secretary to ensure all registered players have / are paying subs for the year.
Making all payments to suppliers and keeping accurate, up to date records.
Payment of expenses to team coaches and Committee members where necessary.
Ensuring that adequate accounts and records exist regarding the club's financial transactions and reconcile back to the Club bank accounts.
Being the signatory on club cheques, with at least one other
Creating invoices if required.
Overseeing the Big Orange Lotto providing monthly details pf receipts to the Football development and welfare officer so that winning tickets can be drawn.
Ensuring that any funding received for specific purposes is spent in accordance with the terms of the grant.
Presenting regular breakdowns of income and expenditure to the Committee.
Identifying and bringing to the attention of the Committee, any financial risks facing the Club
Regularly evaluating the Club’s cash flow position.
Preparing and sharing end of year accounts with the Committee.
Formally presenting the accounts to the AGM.
Investing any surplus funds
Preparing any statutory documents that may be required.
How much time will I need to dedicate?
The role should take approximately 1-2 hours per week, with a little more at year end (April).
