Club Secretary

Working alongside other committee members you will ensure the smooth running of the club.  Full handover will be provided.

Main Responsibilities:

The FA:

·       Main contact with the Surrey FA

·       Affiliate the club and register each team in the summer

·       Ensure every coach is linked to their team in the Whole Game System (the FA’s administrative website)

·       Ensure any player fines are paid and then reimbursed by that player

Surrey Primary League / Surrey Count Women & Girls League:

·       Main contact between leagues and club.  Any queries or issues the coaches have must be done via the secretary.

·       Attend AGM and any other ad hoc meetings

·       Register each team in the summer

·       Approve/reject player transfer requests

 Club Administration:

·       Respond to and action emails received when people use the ‘contact us’ section of the website.

·       Provide administrative guidance to coaches and volunteers as required.

·       Publish club-wide email communications to parents.

·       Attend and take minutes at committee meetings.

·       Setting up pitch rental agreements.

·       Manage relationship with chosen charity.

 

No official qualifications are needed, but this role requires strong written communication and administrative skills. 

 

How much time will I need to dedicate?

This role should require approximately 30-60 minutes per week, but slightly more at the start/end of each season.
